Entering through the front door, the hall leads through to the spacious sitting room with its beautiful inglenook fire place and a further ‘snug’ with more sofas. The entrance hall also leads into the sumptuous formal dining room decorated in Farrow & Ball ‘Eating room red’, with another inglenook feature fireplace
The wealth of centuries old exposed oak beams give this house such a magical and cosy, yet opulent feel. You really will be stepping back in time when you come to stay.
There is a long hallway running from the lounge to the dining room and then off to the large farmhouse kitchen with an Aga type range cooker and a big old farmhouse table to sit around for a natter. There is a handy downstairs loo & shower room and a large walk-in pantry room too.
Two quirky staircases lead up to your king master bedroom, double bedroom, twin bedroom and single bedroom. The latter also provides access to the king and upstairs bathrooms, with their wonderful ‘ball & claw’ footed roll-top baths
There’s even a fabulous table football game in the landing bedroom for all the kids to enjoy, young and old! We also have tons of other games, DVD’s and CD’s in the house too
Woodfarm House is ‘dog-friendly’ with an enclosed sunny kitchen garden, and at the front there is a pretty BBQ area and lots of space to lie around in. We normally accept one or two dogs but we’re happy to discuss a third with you. We even leave a dog treat as well as a delicious local breakfast basket for the humans!
It lies on the outskirts of the village of Stonham Aspal on the Suffolk Tourist Route, along which many popular and interesting places are found, it is within easy striking distance of the lovely Suffolk Coastal destinations like Southwold, Thorpness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford.
All our luxury holiday cottages are down a tiny countryside lane, a few hundred yards outside the village. Bikes are provided FREE of charge for you to enjoy these pretty lanes, as well as hundreds of DVD’s, CD’s and Books!
The perfect luxury holiday cottage for large groups of family & friends to celebrate just about anything, easily sleeping 7 people but also offered at a lower rate off peak for couples using one bedroom (20% discount), or 3 to 4 Guests using two bedrooms (10% discount)
We have so many groups of families celebrating special birthdays and occasions, or groups of friends getting together, benefitting from our luxury holiday cottage barns, all sleeping two, when the celebration demands more accommodation. We can accommodate up to 19 in total and there is ample room for everyone to mingle in the farmhouse and gardens. We are very popular with hen and wedding parties too!
